For making into the main rank list, you need to score more than 90% in the LDC exam and for that you need to prepare hard to fulfill your dream goal. Here are few tips and tricks that will help you prepare for the highly competitive exam.
Thorough Knowledge of All Topics in the LDC Exam Syllabus
Like any other Kerala PSC exam, LDC asks questions from every nook and corner of the subject and therefore it is not a good idea to neglect or omit certain topics in the Kerala PSC syllabus. You could miss your dream job by a single answer so it is recommended that you need to thoroughly cover all topics in the LDC exam syllabus. You can test your knowledge of all the topics you covered by solving previous year question papers as most of the questions asked in LDC exam are repeated ones. Since we are living in an era of tough competition you need to build a well planned exam preparation strategy or you will miss the target.
Careful and Systematic Planning
One of the important aspects of LDC exam 2017 preparation is that you need to plan your studies at least two months prior to the exam. You need to create a study plan that includes covering all topics, making short notes, solving previous question papers, conducting your own mock exams, and revisions. Keep in mind that when you prepare a timetable, allocate sufficient time for each subject. You can make short notes for each topic and it will considerably reduce the revision time and improves your memory.
You can engage in group discussion with your friends and one among you can ask questions in rapid manner and others try to answer. A group study also helps in solving tricky and confusing questions and this will help you quicken or sharpen your memory. When conducting group studies, you need to help each other and do not conceal any points for fear of others knowing it.
Revise, Revise and Revise
You need to conduct a proper revision during the last few days before the LD clerk examination. You can revise the topics you covered 2-3 times a day, and try not to study new topics few days before the exam as it will cause you confusion and stress. You may have to conduct repeated revisions on information that you couldn’t recollect that include important dates, scientific values, abbreviations, etc.
Time Management during the LDC Exam
As you are aware that the total time for marking all 100 questions in the LD Clerk exam is just 75 minutes, you have to answer majority number of questions within a short time in order to secure high marks. Also, you will get only less than a minute for answering one question so you have to manage your time in answering more number of questions. You can do that by conducting mock exams using model question papers or previous question papers.
Maintain Your Good Health
You need to give the same focus on your health as you do for LDC exam preparation. To improve your physical and mental health, you need to take some form of exercise, drink lots of water, good sleep, nutritious diet, and have the confidence of overcoming any hurdle. You need to avoid smoking, alcohol, junk food, excess tea and coffee that will decrease your energy, and makes you tired within short time. Also, do not avoid sleep as many people stay long in the night to cover all topics. This causes sleep deprivation and will result in decreased mental alertness, so go to bed early and wake early to start fresh.
